About Tommy Jeans

It all started in 1985, when Indian businessman Mohan Murjani was looking for a designer to take over a chain of men's sportswear. So, he got in touch with Tommy Hilfiger. Murjani allowed him to use his name as the brand of the company. The two promoted Hilfiger's entry into fashion with an eye-catching advertising campaign, which included a bold sign in New York's Times Square, presenting Hilfiger as the next big innovation in American fashion. Since then, the well-known brand has gained a reputation for its high-quality products that offer comfort and style to consumers worldwide, under the brand names Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans. In fact, the company saw great success in the 90s when hip hop culture adopted its oversized clothing, making it popular among rappers and celebrities. Snoop Dogg's choice to wear an oversized Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt during his appearance on Saturday Night Live in March 1994 sent sales skyrocketing. After its successful debut, the brand has remained on top with a plethora of collections including the Hilfiger Collection, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored, men's, women's and children's clothing, denim, accessories and shoes.
