New Balance was founded in 1906 by William J. Riley of British origin as the "New Balance Arch Support Company". Until 1950, athletes requested the signature of New Balance for custom made designs. In 1960, the first running shoe "Trackster" became known, leaving its own history. A Greek-American in 1972 named Jim Davis, who was one of the largest manufacturers of sports shoes, bought the company on the day of the Boston Marathon. After four years the company became known worldwide with 320 collectible shoe pieces, which took first place and won many awards in every New Release Running Magazine. His wife Anne 6 years later developed the culture of New Balance by creating a favorable climate for employees and customers. In the early 80s, it entered the list of top brands. The materials of the shoes were of high quality and the technologies of the products were more and more. In 2015, New Balance signed a contract with the Liverpool team, simultaneously creating partnerships with top athletes and lifestyle influencers.
